Decidiamo di scendere il fiume Loira in Francia, a Nantes partendo dalle sorgenti. Poi in bicicletta lungo i Pirenei fino a Perpignan e infine  con due windsurf tornare in Italia via mare .   Come potete vedere le idee circa il bagaglio erano tutt’altro che chiare. ma era la prima esperienza e per fortuna il percorso è stato breve.   Con il mio compagno di viaggio Renato Moroni non è che avessimo una grande scelta.  La mia bici  era una Rossignoli (un marchio italiano) molto basic, con un gruppo Campagnolo  Valentino e un guarnitura 53/49.   Pedali con gabbie e  ruote con  tubolari.

Montavamo entrambi un portapacchi davvero molto fragile . Le borse erano lungi dall’essere impermeabile e di scarsa qualità, con  attacchi ridicoli sul telaio.

Renato aera  messo su un po’ meglio, ma solo per il gruppo  un  Campagnolo record sicuramente più valido.   Pantaloni classici per il tempo, con fondo in pelle di daino.   Troppi bagagli. Ma alla fine a a Perpignan riuscimmo ad arrivarci 🙂

1983 : We decide to go down the river Loire in France to Nantes following it from the sources . then cycle along the Pyrenees to Perpignan and then with two windsurfs return to Italy .

 As you can see the ideas about the baggage were far from clear . but it was the first experience and thankfully the path was short .

 With my traveling companion Renato Moroni is not that we had many choice.

 My bike was a very basic Rossignoli ( an italian brand) with a Campagnolo Valentino groupset and a big crankset 53/49

 Pedals with cages with tubular wheels. Very fragile luggage rack . the bags were far from being waterproof and of a poor quality , whith ridiculous attacks on the rack .

 Renato had put on a little better, but only for the groupset that was a Campagnolo record. Definitely more valid.

 Too much baggage . But eventually whe arrived in Perpignan 🙂
